HISTORIC: The Town of Corunna can be located on DeKalb County maps as early as 1858 because it was a stop for trains on the New York Central Railroad. However, it was not until 1902 that Corunna became a town.
 
CITY AMENITIES: The Corunna Fireman's Festival is held the last Friday and Saturday in June with a fish fry on Friday and all day events on Saturday.
 
EDUCATION: Elementary students attend Country Meadow Elementary School. Junior and senior high school studends attend DeKalb Middle School and DeKalb High School.
 
EMERGENCY SERVICES: Corunna is covered by the DeKalb County Sheriff Departments. The Fire Department consists of volunteers and is directed by the fire chief.
 
GOVERNMENT: A town manager, town board, and town council help oversee activities, projects, and development.
 
UTILITIES: The town operates its own water and sewage services.
